Finnish Jets Train in Sweden

The Finnish Air Force is taking part in the Nordic Air Meet exercise that opened in Sweden on Wednesday. Fighter jets from Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Switzerland will be flying over Swedish skies in the week-long exercise.

Finland has sent six F-18 Hornets to the exercise from the Lapland, Karelia and Satakunta squadrons.

The training area is north and south of Kallax airport in northern Sweden. Supersonic flights will be conducted in designated areas over the Bay of Bothnia.

This is the fourth time a multinational Nordic Air Meet exercise is being held. Previous exercises have been held in Norway.Finnish News Agency
