2300 cyclists in Tour de Helsinki race

Estonian cyclists were the first to cross the finish line in Sunday's Tour de Helsinki event. Finland took fourth place in the challenging 140-kilometre route through the Uusimaa region.

The women's category win went to Finland.

The sixth staging of the Tour de Helsinki cycling event Sunday attracted some 2300 participants. The route began at the Olympic Velodrome in Käpylä and wound through Nurmijärvi, Tuusula and Sipoo before taking riders back to Helsinki.

While the vast majority of participants hailed from across Finland, other countries such as Sweden and Estonia were represented.

The last riders finished the race around 6pm.
