60 years since the reign of Finnish beauty
Friday marks the 60th anniversary of Finnish beauty queen Armi Kuusela's coronation as the first Miss Universe in Long Beach, California.
Kuusela was just 17 years old when she won the pageant on June 29, 1952. The following year she married Virgilio Hilario from the Philippines. Kuusela went on to have five children: Arne, Anna-Lisa, Jussi, Eva-Maria and Mikko.
Today the 77-year-old beauty veteran lives in California with her American husband, Albert Williams.
