The decision by the ultra low-cost airline Ryanair to dramatically reduce flights into Finland will have no direct impact on Finnair traffic.

Finnair said Tuesday that its flight routes are constantly being reviewed.

“Competition on some air traffic routes has decreased and in others it has increased—depending on competition in the sector,” said Finnair spokeswoman Päivyt Tallqvist.

Ryanair announced that it was giving up its route into Turku and halving flights into Lappeenranta and Tampere.
