Finnish pension companies report good investment returns

Investment returns made by Finnish pension companies have remained good despite the current economic crisis.

According to Keva, which handles local government and state employee pensions, a return on investments of around six percent was reported during the first half of this year. In July, returns were even better.

The Finnish Pension Alliance TELA which represents statutory earnings-related pension insurance was less optimistic. It says returns on investments stood at around three percent.

Investments have been switched from Europe to developing markets. However real estate in Finland remains a good investment.
