Finns Party files interpellation debate

Finns Party has tabled an interpellation concerning Finland's policy on joint eurozone bonds and the capitalisation of European banks.

Two MPs from the Left Parliamentary group are supporting the measure. Finns Party chair Timo Soini asid that he wants an open parliamentary debate on the upcoming EU summit and its decisions.

He added that he is hoping that the opposition Centre party will join in a no-confidence vote against the government. They did not sign the measure, although Centre MP Mauri Pekkarinen had supported the idea during question time on Thursday.

Soini said that his party filed the interpellation measure to ensure that the Euro crisis was debated by a full sitting of parliament, rather than the parliamentary grand committee that usually handles such matters, before the 28-29 June EU summit.
