Floods subside in western and central areas
Floods affecting many country districts appear to be subsiding.
Affected areas are currently experiencing clearer and drier conditions, say rescue officials. However, more rain is forecast for next week.
Heavy downpours have caused water levels to rise as much as 15 millimetres in Ostrobothnia, Central Finland and in the districts of north Pirkanmaa and northern Satakunta.
Water has flooded on to fields and into backyards.
