Haavisto: The deck will be reshuffled
Green League candidate Pekka Haavisto said Sunday evening that the deck will be reshuffled for the second round in the presidential election, as supporters of the candidates now out of the race regroup behind one of the two remaining hopefuls.
Haavisto believes that Finns want an empathetic president, who will not only do the job but also understand the people's problems. He also said he believes that his campaign should continue as it has up till now.
"It's not worth starting with any amazing tricks," said Haavisto.
The Green candidate also predicted that social media will play a big role in the second round. Both his supporters and those of Niinistö have been extremely active in the social web.
"I think this will be true during the second round, too," Haavisto forecast.
