Heat record set in Porvoo

Finland enjoyed a tropical Sunday. The relative humidity reached 90 percent in south-eastern Finland.

Sunday was the warmest day of the summer so far. The mercury rose the highest in Porvoo, where thermometers registered 28.9 degrees Celsius.

Kokkola simmered in 28 degrees.

The heat was intensified by high relative humidity.

In the south-western regions of Uti and Anjankoski, humidity rose to over 90 percent, while other areas sweltered in 70 to 80 percent humidity.
