Most of the victims were from Hyvinkää. All were born between 1977-1993.

Two people were killed by the gunman's bullets. One was an 18-year-old woman, the other a man 19 years of age. Both were students at the same local vocational school.

The young woman died of her injuries during the early morning hours of Saturday. The man died later during the morning.

By afternoon, one victim, a 23-year-old woman police trainee was reported to be in critical condition.
