The meeting point will house a café as well as a Muslim prayer room. The 250 square metre space will also provide counseling services for immigrants of all ages. The centre will also host a local Evangelical Lutheran parish project aimed at newcomers to the area.

The centre is being set up by the local neighbourhood association Kouvolan Korttelikotiyhdistys. The group hopes to attract a number of other organisations to rent space at the centre as the city of Kouvola is not providing any financing for the project.
