TeliaSonera's former Chairman of the Board Tapio Hintikka blames the company's slow growth on the indecisiveness of current CEO Anders Igel.

Speaking on YLE's discussion show MOT, Hintikka said that Igel's failure to make timely decisions prevented the company from increasing market share in Turkey and Russia.

For example, he believes that had the company acted quickly, it could have bought controlling shares in the Turkish teleoperator Turkcell and the Russian operator MegaFon.

Hintikka resigned from his post in the spring of 2004.
