Accidents Disrupt Rail Services

Accidents at Ylivieska in the north of Finland and at Jokela in the south disrupted rail services on Wednesday.

An empty goods train was disrailed at Ylivieska on Wednesday morning causing disruption to services between Oulu and the south. No one was hurt in the accident but train services were replaced by buses for a time.

In a second incident, train services on the main line north of Helsinki were subject to delay early on Wednesday afternoon after a person fell in front of a train at Jokela.
