Advance Voting Abroad Went Up Slightly

More Finns living abroad cast their ballot in this month's advance voting for the parliamentary elections than in the previous elections four years ago.

A total of 27,432 Finns exercised their right to vote in the advance voting abroad this year. The number was 905 more than in the previous parliamentary elections in 2003.

Advance voting abroad was organised in 87 countries at 233 polling stations.

Some 200,000 Finns living abroad have the right to vote in the elections.

Most of the votes came from Sweden, followed by Spain.
