More Problems for Sampo Bankers; Tellers Open Late

Sampo Bank customers have encountered more difficulties with their bank cards. The bank says the problems have been resolved. On Wednesday afternoon the bank confirmed that no card transactions requiring authorisations could be completed. The bank said its international verification systems had been temporarily disrupted. Normal Usage Restored Customers were not able withdraw money from automatic teller machines while the problem persisted. Payments using Visa or Mastercard credit cards could not be completed because of the disruption in the verification systems. However, customers were able to make small payments using their regular debit cards or credit cards, as such transactions did not require verification.
