Meanwhile the Slovenian Defence Ministry has called on Patria to provide evidence that the claims are groundless and has threatened to freeze a trade agreement.
Slovenia sent the first note concerning the bribery claims on Thursday. The specifics of that note have not been revealed. On Friday Finnish Foreign Minister Alexander Stubb responded to the note by saying Finland respects freedom of the press.
Finland's National Bureau of Investigation is currently investigating the claims that defence material manufacturer Patria paid millions of euros in bribes to Slovenian officials, including Prime Minister Janez Jansa, to secure orders.
