Tighter import restrictions are now in force regarding tobacco products without sufficient health warnings in both Finnish and Swedish.

As of July 1, travellers can only bring in 200 cigarettes, 50 cigars, 100 cigarillos, and 250 grams of loose tobacco that do not have health warnings in Finnish and Swedish.

In practice, these restrictions will only change customs measures within the European Union, because there are other import restrictions already in place for tobacco brought in from outside the EU.

The tobacco products are also required to list the amount of tar, nicotine, and carbon monoxide they contain.
