Finland Selects Best Places to Work

Consulting firm Accenture was chosen as the best large company to work for in Finland in 2010. Each year the Great Place to Work Institute Finland selects the top large, mid-size and small businesses to work for.

Finland's Best Places to Work 2010

Large companies (over 500 employees)
1. Accenture
2. Ilmarinen Mutual Pension Insurance Company
3. IKEA
4. University Pharmacy
5. Finnish Broadcasting Company (YLE)

Mid-size companies (50–500 employees)
1. Reaktor
2. Management Events
3. Pipelife Finland
4. Microsoft
5. Fondia

Small companies (15–49 employees)
1. SICK
2. Rauhala Yhtiöt
3. Tutoris

Software company Reaktor took the top honour among mid-size companies, while sensor manufacturer SICK was selected as the best small company to work for.

This is the second year in a row that the winners in all three categories took first prize. Accenture has won honour four times.

The Great Place to Work Institute Finland makes its selections by evaluating workers’ satisfaction. It also looks at how proud employees are of their job, how well they get along with coworkers and their confidence in management.

Any company with more than 15 workers can enter the competition.
