Bank Robber in Helsinki Gets Away with 60,000 Euros

Police in Helsinki are looking for a man who held up a bank in Helsinki on Friday afternoon. The suspected robber of the Osuuspankki branch on the corner of Mannerheimintie and Tukholmankatu was a foreign male of short stature, aged 25 to 30, wearing a dark baseball cap and coat.

Police have been searching for the suspect in central Helsinki, and are monitoring the city’s harbours and Helsinki-Vantaa Airport.

The robber got away with 60,000 euros in cash.

The robber gave bank personnel with an envelope containing a message demanding money. the robber then fled sowthward down Mannerheimintie.
