Problems continued Thursday with cell phone services in areas worst hit by storms this week. Electricity power outages have affected signal relay stations, with the most problems reported in south-western Finland, Pirkanmaa and in the east.
Services of the operator Sonera were still suffering problems in all those areas. In some places, coverage signals were not available, with the worst problems in sparsely populated districts. Back-up power equipment has been brought in and the Defense Forces have supplied generators.
Sonera's fixed line services have also suffered in Central Finland and both North and South Savo.
Services of the operator Elisa have been affected in the same areas and also in North and South Karjala.
The operator DNA is experiencing problems with its mobile voice services and with some fixed line voice and broadband services. The most serious problems for DNA subscribers are in Häme, Uusimaa and Satakunta.
