Problems with cell phone signals are affecting many areas of Finland due to power outages caused by this week’s storms. Weak reception is the most common malfunction, but in some places there is no reception at all.

Users in south-western, central and eastern Finland are experiencing greatest difficulties.

Operators are bringing in auxiliary power units in an attempt to fix the problem.

In addition to glitches in the mobile phone network, major power outages have also hindered data traffic and caused problems with landline phones.
