The new boss at Alko is 51-year-old Hille Korhonen, who moves to the booze retailer from Fiskars. The current head Jaakko Uotila will retire.

Soili Suonoja, chair of Alko’s board, cited Korhonen’s broad experience in announcing the move.

Veikkaus, meanwhile, which runs the Finnish state lottery as well as sports gambling operations in Finland, announced it will hire Juha Koponen from the pharmaceutical firm Tamro to replace the current MD Risto Nieminen.
