TeliaSonera looks to cut 110 jobs in Finland

Telecommunications company TeliaSonera has started formal talks with employees' representatives on plans to eliminate 110 jobs. A restructuring could mean that mobile and broadband service operations in Finland will be concentrated in fewer localities.

Company talks with unions concern changes within Finnish regional mobile and broadband units. A planned restructuring is intended to upgrade company efficiency by setting up competence centres.



Sonera, which is a part of the TeliaSonera Group, employs 4,300 people in Finland with operations at 50 locations around the country.
