Rain is in store to be accompanied later by strengthening winds. The low pressure has increased especially in Finnish sea areas. Later this evening high winds are anticipated also on lakes in southern and eastern Finland.

Winds of up to 14 metres per second are forecast giving rise to high seas.

The Finnish Border Guard has warned mariners in the Gulf of Finland of changing weather conditions. Boaters are advised to check anchor points.

The unsettled conditions will move northwards on Sunday with winds decreasing in the south.

Northern Finland will, however, continue to enjoy fine midsummer weather.
