Wedding Bells for Finland's Parliamentary Speaker

Parliamentary Speaker Sauli Niinistö was married on Saturday to 31 year-old Jenni Haukio, the Director of Communications from the National Coalition Party.

According to his own press release, Niinistö said the couple had been dating together for two years. The wedding ceremony took place at Reposaari Church in Pori with some forty guests present.

Sauli Niinistö,60, became a widower in 1995 following the death of his first wife in a car accident. Later, he was engaged to Centre Party MP Tanja Karpela for a time after this.
