The newspaper says that Nokia is not revealing how many jobs will be cut as a result, instead noting that the two remaining offices in the country will be expanded.

The ailing Finnish company says it plans to keep its offices in Beijing and Guangzhou.

The office closures are part of Nokia’s savings programme announced in June. The phonemaker said it would cut 10,000 jobs worldwide, with nearly 4,000 to go in Finland.

Nokia is set to release its second quarter results next Thursday.
