A car drove into a lamp post in the southern municipality of Mäntsälä sometime after midnight, killing both of the people in the car.
Shortly after midnight early Tuesday morning, a car collided with a lamp post in Mäntsälä, Finland, killing both of the people in the vehicle.
The Central Uusimaa region's rescue services reports that the collision took place on Vanha Lahdentie road, in the direction running towards the Mäntsälä centre.
"The driver and a passenger in the car were both pronounced dead," says Niklas Eriksson, the service's on-duty fire chief.
The police are investigating the incident.
The former party chair has previously served as Finland's Finance Minister and as the European Commissioner for International Partnerships since 2019.
Finland also joins over 20 UN countries by signing a petition calling for nuclear power capacity to be tripled by 2050.
The Finnish president also posits that Russia's intention to divide the West's support of Ukraine may have the opposite effect and end up bolstering support for Ukraine.
