The popular Finnish rap group JVG won the Best Finnish Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards on Sunday night in Bilbao, Spain.

The awards are based on viewer votes and this year marks the second time JVG won the accolade, after first receiving it in 2015.

The group's members Jare Joakim Brand and Ville-Petteri Galle are known for their comical, sports-themed songs on topics such as soccer, ice hockey, and Finnish sporting legends.

Currently one of JVG's most popular songs on Finnish airwaves is "Popkorni" (Popcorn) from their 2017 album of the same name.

Other contenders for the Best Finnish Act this year included artists Eveliina, Mikael Gabriel, Nikke Ankara and Sanni.

Last year, singer Alma took home the prize.
