IT problems were said to be affecting baggage handling and having a knock-on effect on some flights at Helsinki Airport on Sunday, according to airports operator Finavia.
Finavia announced that afternoon flights in particular would be affected and advised passengers to reserve more time than usual for check-in.
"If you have a departing flight on Sunday 2 June, you should prepare to spend more time at the airport and plan for the possibility of travelling with carry-on luggage only," Finavia said in a statement on its website.
The airports operator said that passengers should consider taking necessities on board in carry-ons and warned that some baggage might be left behind.
Later on Sunday Finavia said that the situation was returning to normal but warned that not all luggage would follow accompany passengers on their flights.
Edit: Updated at 5.45pm to include Finavia comments that the situation was returning to normal but that luggage could still be left behind.
