The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) is probing an alleged case of aggravated human trafficking in the construction industry.

Helsinki District Court issued arrest warrants for five people linked to the case over the weekend, as there are reasonable grounds to suspect crimes have been committed.

In a statement, the NBI said its investigation has mainly focused on companies related to the construction industry and people involved in their operations.

They added that the investigation is still in its early stages, and further details will be released at a later date.
