According to Detective Inspector Markku Stenberg of the Helsinki Police, investigations have made progress but the identity of those responsible remains a mystery.
Police say they have several leads in the case. They have been in close contact with the both the Security Police and National Bureau of Investigation in order to determine who planted the bomb.
Anarchists have claimed responsibility for the incident and police are still investigating their role in the incident. Police remain confident the identity of the perpetrators will be determined.
Last June police were alerted to a homemade bomb planted in the inner courtyard of the Esterinportti complex in Pasila. A second device, a petrol bomb, was also discovered in a service station in the district of Tapaninvaino.
