The Ministerial Group on Immigration Policy has made its initial decision on quota refugee levels for next year. According to the decision, Finland will accept 750 quota refugees next year.
Of these, 300 are Iraqi refugees from Syria and Jordan, 200 Myanmar refugees from Thailand and 150 Congo refugees from Rwanda.
In addition, a further 100 emergency cases will be accepted under the witness protection programme of the International Court of Justice.
The number of quota refugees remains the same as this year. More Iraqis are been accepted than previously following appeals on their behalf by the UN refugee body UNCHR.
The Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority also announced that the housing loan cap would remain in place.
"At no point have we sought to prevent the use of the space. We have proposed to the university the idea of sharing the space," the protesters said.
A newspaper asked 19 government ministers if they'd be in favour of taking a pay cut. Only one replied.
