However, 80s pop duo Wham! remained the firm chart topper with 423 plays of Last Christmas, making it the favourite for three consecutive years.

Six Finnish tracks were among the top ten played Christmas records last year by commercial broadcasters. These included the perennial Juice Leskinen song Sika.
The top Finnish Christmas artist Katri Helena has been performing since 1963. In her career, she has recorded over 440 songs, released 45 albums and compilations totalling sales in excess of 1.5 million records. She has 17 gold discs to her credit. She celebrates fifty years on stage next year.
