Bea Toivonen is Miss Finland 2014

Jyväskylä 21-year-old Bea Toivonen has won this year’s Miss Finland title. The beauty queen is a second-generation Miss Finland—her mother won the same crown almost three decades ago.

Sunday saw the annual Miss Finland beauty pageant, in which young women compete to be named the most beautiful in the country. The 2014 winner was Bea Toivonen, from Jyväskylä.

She is the second generation of her family to win the award, as her mother Marja Kinnunen was Miss Finland back in 1985.

This year was the 54th annual Miss Finland competition. The pageant is broadcast live on national television and receives extensive coverage in the tabloid press.
