Finland's flag-carrier, Finnair, has once again posted record financial results. The firm's figures for July-September 2017 are the best Finnair has ever posted, and mark the twelfth month in a row the company has improved its profits compared to the same quarter in the previous year.
The company's turnover in the third quarter was 735 million euros, with a profit of 119 million euros. In the same quarter of 2016 the firm made some 66 million euros in profit.
Finnair said in its release that it expects its capacity to increase by nine percent this year compared to last, with turnover making a similar leap.
The firm expects to make a profit of between 135 and 155 million euros this year, and CEO Pekka Vauramo says he expects the firm to continue to grow.
"Finnair’s future growth and business development will also be backed by about 1,000 new employees and our investments in digital development, which will provide better services and tools for our customers and personnel," said Vauramo in a statement.
