The Finnish Defence Forces (FDF) will purchase TRG M10 precision rifle systems, their spare parts and sniper equipment in a deal worth 11 million euros, the Ministry of Defence announced on Monday.

"The TRG M10 sniper rifle system and the sniper equipment to be purchased with it will increase the operating possibilities for snipers and the accuracy and range of their fire," the ministry's statement said.

The new gear will allow "snipers to hit a variety of targets at ranges exceeding 1,400 metres," the ministry noted.

According to weapons firm Sako's website, the TRG M10 is a bolt-action, shoulder-fired sniper rifle which includes an interchangeable set of calibers — developed in collaboration between Sako and the Finnish Defence Forces.
