Käärijä, the rapper who was chosen to compete as Finland's entry at this year's Eurovision Song Contest (ESC), is currently the second favourite to win, according to international bookmakers odds compiled by Eurovision World.

As of publishing time, Käärijä, whose real name is Jere Pöyhönen, had a 16 percent chance of winning with the track Cha Cha Cha.

Sweden is currently the favourite, with a 32 percent chance, even though the Scandinavian country hasn't officially selected who it will send to the ESC in May.

Sweden's Melodifestival final will determine who will represent the country, but there is wide speculation that artist Loreen will be picked.

However, Sweden and Finland will have increased competition as a number of countries have yet to announce the artists they're planning to send to the contest.

Cha Cha Cha secured the coveted chance to compete in the song contest after Käärijä won the Yle-organised New Music Contest (UMK) last week, beating out six other acts vying for the spot.

The Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Liverpool, UK on behalf of Ukraine on May 9-13, 2023. Finland competes in the first semifinal on May 9.
