Minami Yoshida, 17 (JPN) - The Sibelius Violin Competition 2015

Minami Yoshida: "At first my teacher at school was upset about my participating, but finally I got a permission and even some encouragement. My violin teacher was the one who suggested taking part in this competition."

In the interview right after the second round the 17-year-old violinist Minami Yoshida says she liked the Helsinki Conservatory concert hall very much. She has a hard time choosing any favorites from her program, she claims she likes all the pieces she's played. She is an ardent fan of the Moomin characters, and she would like to get a Moomin toy to carry in her violin case. (Interview Henna Paakki & video Sandra Saulo)
