Billboard-palkintogaalassa nähtiin Madonnan tribuutti edesmenneelle Princelle.
Popmusiikin kerma kokoontui sunnuntaina kehumaan toisiaan Billboard Music Awards -gaalaan. Palkintoshow’n järjestää musiikkijulkaisu Billboard, joka listaa myös Jenkkien myydyimpiä singlejä ja albumeita: Hot 100 -lista seuraa suosituimpia sinkkuja, Billboard 200 taas myydyimpiä albumeita.
Tämän vuoden Billboard-palkintogaalan suurin voittaja on The Weeknd. Muutamassa vuodessa kansainväliseen supertähteyteen noussut kanadalaislaulaja-tuottaja voitti kahdeksan Billboard-pystiä, muun muassa parhaan Hot 100 -listan artistin sekä biisimyynnin palkinnon.
