Yle’s popular music entertainment programme SuomiLOVE – Soundtrack of Love was awarded as the best television format of 2016. Formaatti-Finlandia award was handed out in Media & Message event on 10th of August in Helsinki. Yle has broadcasted SuomiLOVE since 2014.
SuomiLOVE – Soundtrack of Love programme portrays Finnish love stories and friendships along with pieces of Finnish music related to them. The winner was chosen by Amos Neuman, the COO of Armoza Formats that has created several top-rated international television formats. Neuman thanks the format of SuomiLOVE for being highly flexible and scalable for different needs. According to Neuman SuomiLOVE joins music and emotions together successfully.
The original idea of the series was created by Warner Bros. International Television Production Finland and the format was developed in co-operation with Yle. The format is sold abroad with title Soundtrack of Love.
“It’s great that the persistent Finnish television format development receives recognition from the industry. We will continue to invest in Finnish formats”, says SuomiLOVE’s commissioner Arttu Nurmi from Yle.
The new season of SuomiLOVE begins this autumn on Yle TV1 channel.
Media & Message is a professional event for audiovisual industry in Finland organized by SATU ry. Formaatti-Finlandia award was granted for 17th time. The award is 20 000 euros.
