Beethoven was a passionate supporter of equality, democracy and fraternity. As the hero(ine) of his opera Fidelio he chose a woman who liberates her husband and others unjustly languishing in prison. We are sure to find our own inner Leonore in the performance by Erika Sunnegårdh. The direction and script are by Jussi Nikkilä, while Esko Salminen plays the part of Beethoven.
