Happy Birthday Polytech Choir!

“Helsinki’s been waiting for Busoni,” says Hannu Lintu. Probably the longest piano concerto ever composed, running to 70 minutes, is a brilliant solo work absolutely bursting with energy. There is also a male choir - 120 year old Polytech Choir - which begins the finale by urging us to “Lift up our hearts to the power eternal”. The pianist is Gilmore Artist Award winner Igor Levit, who defines himself as “Citizen. European. Pianist.”
