Esa-Pekka Salonen & Olivier Latry

The new Helsinki Music Centre organ will at last be inaugurated in January 2024. It will assume a host of different roles in the Sinfonia concertante by Esa-Pekka Salonen: as a soloist, as a traditional concerto instrument, as part of a chamber ensemble and of an orchestra. The organ also occupies an unforgettable role in the symphonic poem Also sprach Zarathustra by Richard Strauss.
