A court in southern Ostrobothnia remanded a bank employee into custody on Friday on suspicion of stealing more than half a million euros.

It is believed that the suspect, who worked at a bank in southern Ostrobothnia on Finland’s west coast, quietly transferred bank funds into their personal account during the past few months.

The suspected offence was uncovered by the National Bureau of Investigation’s (NBI) Financial Intelligence Unit.
