Finnish Aid Agencies Appeal for Help for Quake victims

A number of Finnish aid agencies are appealing for donations to help the victims of Saturday?s massive earthquake in South Asia. The death toll in the disaster is believed to be in the tens of thousands. The Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs has not received word of any Finnish victims.

Donations to the Finnish Red Cross can be sent to the following bank accounts: Nordea 221918-68000, Sampo 800019-225005, OKO 578007-10011649, Aktia 405511-11397, Handelsbanken 313130-1199025. Donations to the Red Cross can also be made by telephone at the following numbers. When the number is called, the specified amount of money is added to the subscriber?s telephone bill.
