The American humour website has listed its top pick of words missing from the English language. The all-time foreign word favourite went to the Finnish pilkunviilaaja or “comma nitpicker.”

This special noun, according to cracked, refers to “a person who believes it is their destiny to stamp out all spelling and punctuation mistakes at the cost of popularity, self-esteem and mental well-being.”

Cracked writes that pilkunviilaaja is a much better fitting moniker than grammar nazi, a common English-language term to describe the language conscious.

Other top culturally untranslateable phrases include the German word “Neidbau” for buildings constructed with the sole purpose of harassing or inconveniencing neighbours. In Russia, a person who asks too many questions is a "Pochemuchka,” another glorious word lacking in the English language, according to cracked.
