According to party secretary Riikka Slunga-Poutsalo she has been tasked with finding another Finnish bank to take over Finns Party accounts. The move has been prompted by links to tax haven services revealed in the so-called Panama Papers.

Previously, the Social Democratic Party and the Left Alliance announced they have withdrawn their business from Nordea.

"We've had this discussion several times, that we want to support Finnish banking," Slunga-Poutsalo says. "Now with the recent Panama Papers scandal we felt that the time was ripe for a change. I and our financial chief have been given full powers to seek a suitable bank."
