Finns Plan on Voting Actively in General Elections

Finns plan on being active at the polling booths during next year's general elections, according to a survey commissioned by the papers Etelä-Suomen Sanomat and Satakunnan Kansa.

Two-thirds of those surveyed said they would definitely show up to cast their votes. Most others said they would most likely or probably vote.

Only nine percent of registered voters said they don't plan on voting at all. Young voters were especially doubtful.

Just over half of respondents said they hoped Matti Vanhanen would continue as prime minister.
