Finnish authorities said on Thursday that five people have been confirmed as novel coronavirus cases.
Three of the cases are in the Helsinki and Uusimaa hospital district, one is in Pirkanmaa and one in Kanta-Häme.
In the capital city region one of the patients is a working-age woman and two are working-age men.
The women’s infection is linked to a previously-confirmed case, while the men’s cases are linked to travel to northern Italy.
According to HUS the patients in the capital city region are in good condition and returned home after samples had been taken.
They have been advised on how to quarantine themselves.
The case in Kanta-Häme is a child in Hämeenlinna who had returned from northern Italy with their family on Tuesday. They gave samples for testing on Tuesday.
In Pirkanmaa the patient is 44-years-old and is at home, in quarantine and relatively healthy. Three close contacts to that patient have been identified.
