Max Payne Computer Game Goes to Hollywood

Hollywood giant, 20th. Century Fox is to make a film based on the Finnish Max Payne computer game.

The game was produced by Finland's Remedy Entertainment in 2001.

Max Payne is based on a fictional New York police whose wife and child are murdered by drug gangsters. Payne joins the drug squad in order to locate the murderers but is framed for the killing of a colleague.

Finally, Payne faces a one-man battle against both the police and gangsters.

Producers have confidence in the success of a film as sales of the first part of the game topped over five million in the U.S. Second part sales were just under the million mark.

The film will be produced by Scott Faye and Julie Yorn.
